Rick Moore

Rick played the organ, clarinet and drums as child. He began his professional career in his late teens playing the piano at a Jersey shore tavern. Rick went on to study classical piano with Keith McDonald and Jazz piano with Sal Mosca in Mount Vernon, NY. While studying music and living in NJ, Rick worked in numerous society bands and in Jazz groups with Vinnie Burke, Vic Juris, Judy Niemack, Don Messina & Joshua Breakstone. He also worked as a piano teacher. In 1986, Rick relocated to West Palm Beach and played long-term engagements at many upscale clubs including, the International Polo Club, Bear Lakes, Jupiter Island Club, Mar-a-Lago, Turtle Creek and the Everglades Club. Rick participated in concert performances @ the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Lyric Theater, Watchung Arts Center (NJ). In 2009, Rick made series of solo piano recording's at Echo Beach Studios in Jupiter under the direction and tutelage of pianist Paul Bley. In 2012, Rick and his wife Cherie founded the Jupiter Jazz & Performing Arts Society, Inc. Rick currently serves as president of the Society. Rick has recent performances with Phill Fest, Yvette Norwood-Tiger, Keith Jones, Nicholas Biello, Jérôme Degey, Greg Diaz, Clifton Davis, Randy Johnston, Jay Beckenstein, Phil DiRe, David Becker, Ava Faith & Cláudio Celso. Rick appears on recordings with Yvette Norwood Tiger, Ava Faith, Phil DiRe' and on his own records.
