Gary Levy

GARY LEVY is from Brooklyn, New York and is part of an elite community of Jazz musicians that frequently participate in NYC's best Jazz jam sessions, recording sessions and Jazz club performances at Birdland, Small's, Something Else' Jazz Club and many other Jazz venues throughout the New York metropolitan area. Gary is from the Warne Marsh school of Jazz improvisation and has performed and recorded with the acclaimed Jazz pianist Michael Kanan. Now living in South Florida, Gary is establishing himself as a highly sought after "musicians, musician" and has recently been featured in concerts and recording sessions with drummer Jeff Abbott, and on stage at Double Roads Tavern with the Jupiter Jazz Society.

Gary Levy has studied the alto saxophone for 35 years. He has played in NYC at Birdland and various other jazz spots in New York. He has been inspired by some of the great improvisers of jazz, including Warne Marsh, Charlie Parker, Lester Young, and Lee Konitz. He finds the infinite possibilities of improvised music endlessly fascinating.
